Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments suchates, calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify specifications.
- Document inspection results accurately, including acceptance, rejection, and non-conformance data.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications to ensure product compliance.
- Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate reporting procedures.
- Initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and collaborate with production to address root causes of defects.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with established quality standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in using precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications (including GD&T).
- Strong understanding of quality control principles and methodologies (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying non-conformances.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other relevant industry quality standards.
- ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
- Experience with CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) software (e.g., Minitab)
- Advanced understanding and application of GD&T principles
