Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products against specifications.
- Utilize precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product conformity.
- Document inspection results accurately, create inspection reports, and maintain detailed quality records.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective action procedures.
- Conduct first-article inspections and provide immediate feedback to production and engineering teams.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to established quality standards, procedures, and work instructions.
- Assist in the investigation of root causes for quality defects and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Proficient in documenting inspection results and generating quality reports.
- Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) operation or programming
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
- Proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and software
- ASQ certification (e.g., Certified Quality Inspector, Certified Quality Technician)
