The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Newaygo seeking Quality Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and inspection procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and report on quality performance.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities (e.g., FMEA, PPAP).
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) processes and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in quality methodologies and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, 8D problem-solving).
- Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
- Demonstrated ability in statistical analysis and problem-solving using data.
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency with advanced statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
- Certified Lead Auditor (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100).
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) quality modules.
