The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly or weekly payroll for all employees, including hourly and salaried staff.
- Calculate and process wages, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, and other pay elements in accordance with company policy and labor laws.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations, including W-2 processing and quarterly tax filings.
- Manage and process all payroll deductions, including benefits, 401(k) contributions, garnishments, and other voluntary deductions.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and employee data within the payroll system, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and timekeeping in a professional and timely manner.
- 3 years of experience processing full-cycle payroll for a high volume of employees, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and FLSA regulations.
- Proficiency with major payroll software platforms (e.g., ADP, UKG Pro, Workday) and time & attendance systems.
- Demonstrated high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong understanding of complex payroll calculations, including overtime, shift differentials, and benefits deductions.
- Experience processing payroll for a unionized workforce.
- Proficiency with Kronos (UKG) timekeeping systems.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
