Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize product designs for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and performance.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
- Conduct design analysis, including FEA, stress analysis, and tolerance stack-ups.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless design implementation.
- Generate and maintain accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) and technical documentation.
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new and revised product designs.
- Identify and implement design improvements to resolve production issues or enhance product quality.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Creo).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, material science, and stress analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, casting).
- Experience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards.
- Advanced proficiency with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) or CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, or workshop tools.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
