Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and qualify packaging materials and systems for new and existing products.
- Optimize current packaging for cost reduction, performance improvement, and sustainability initiatives.
- Conduct material testing, validation, and performance analysis for packaging components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D, marketing, and supply chain teams to integrate packaging solutions.
- Ensure all packaging designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues on the production line and in the field.
- Manage packaging development projects from concept through commercialization.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of experience in packaging development or engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and a strong understanding of various packaging materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge of packaging testing standards (e.g., ISTA, ASTM) and quality control processes.
- Experience with packaging line integration, automation, and supply chain optimization.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher certification.
- Experience with packaging line automation or robotics integration.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Demonstrated experience with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) or advanced sustainable packaging strategies.
