Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders).
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code programs.
- Perform in-process and final quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts onto machines.
- Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain part quality.
- Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of CNC equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to ensure production efficiency.
- Experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of various machining materials and cutting tools.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM)
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM operation)
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance or minor machine troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
