Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling, turning, or grinding machines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code.
- Load and unload raw materials and finished parts.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and detect malfunctions.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Adjust machine offsets and tooling to maintain part specifications.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- 2 years of hands-on experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges).
- Basic understanding of G-code and M-code for program editing and offsets.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for machining processes and quality defects.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software for program generation or modification
- Experience with advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)
- Basic machine troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies
