What are the responsibilities and job description for the Line Cook/Prep Cook position at The Pit Stop BBQ?
We are looking for dependable, hardworking Line/Prep Cooks to join our BBQ restaurant team. The ideal candidate is a team player who takes pride in preparing quality food, keeping a clean kitchen, and providing great service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook food according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Assist with BBQ food preparation, sides, sandwiches, and other menu items
- Prep ingredients and maintain proper food storage
- Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Maintain proper portion sizes and food quality
- Work efficiently during busy periods
- Assist other kitchen team members as needed
- Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen, line cook, or prep cook experience preferred, but willing to train the right person
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Able to follow recipes and instructions
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen supplies as needed
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
