Vice President of Cybersecurity
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Cybersecurity to lead and enhance the firm’s cybersecurity initiatives. This high-impact role plays a critical part in safeguarding sensitive financial data, proprietary systems, and investor information within a fast-paced investment environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the firm’s cybersecurity program across multiple regions
- Strengthen infrastructure security for cloud platforms, internal systems, and external integrations
- Collaborate with third-party providers to monitor endpoints, identity systems, and cloud environments
- Serve as an escalation point for security incidents, including analysis and response using SIEM, EDR, and related tools
- Oversee vulnerability management, prioritization, and remediation efforts
- Drive security awareness initiatives, including employee training and phishing simulations
- Assess and recommend new security technologies, presenting risks and benefits to leadership
- Collaborate with technical teams to secure AI/ML initiatives and sensitive data governance
- Ensure cybersecurity policies align with regulatory standards and internal policies
- Coordinate business continuity and disaster recovery exercises
- Lead internal audits related to access controls, privileged accounts, and third-party integrations
- Manage external audits, regulatory reviews, and investor due diligence requests
Must-Have Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 7–10 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity, preferably within financial services or regulated environments
- Hands-on experience managing or building cybersecurity programs
- Proficiency with SIEM, EDR, DLP, IAM, and vulnerability management tools
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management
- Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid infrastructure
- Excellent communication skills with non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
- Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security ) preferred
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with AI security, LLMs, and data governance in analytics environments
