The Phoenix Group Advisors is seeking a highly skilled Desktop Engineer for our client, a distinguished global investment management firm specializing in real estate securities and alternative investments. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in maintaining, securing, and optimizing desktop environments across multiple worldwide offices, ensuring seamless operations and fortified security in a highly regulated industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the implementation, support, and security of desktop systems and infrastructure globally.
- Manage device imaging, configuration, and deployment using SCCM and Intune.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
- Administer Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to enforce security policies and compliance standards.
- Support Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments, including Citrix XenApp and DaaS platforms.
- Implement and manage security tools such as Microsoft Defender, CASB solutions, and adhere to CIS Benchmarks.
- Automate routine tasks and system maintenance through PowerShell scripting.
- Coordinate system and software testing, including patch management and updates.
- Support data migration, system testing, and integration efforts.
- Provide advanced technical assistance to remote and global users.
- Participate in on-call rotations to deliver after-hours support when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 5 years of IT support experience within financial services or highly regulated environments.
- Expertise in Windows desktop support, Citrix XenApp / DaaS, and endpoint management.
- Proficiency with SCCM, Intune, GPO management, and PowerShell scripting.
- Strong understanding of security tools such as Defender, CASB, and industry best practices like CIS Benchmarks.
- Knowledge of network, storage, and telephony systems.
- Familiarity with data migration, system testing, and automation techniques.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with virtual machine hypervisor technologies.
- Knowledge of scripting in other languages or automation tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-based security solutions and compliance frameworks.
- Previous exposure to financial industry compliance requirements.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5 years) supporting complex desktop and security environments in financial services.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global setting with diverse teams.
Salary : $110,000 - $115,000
