Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the firm’s master litigation calendar, including establishing notification systems and managing individual attorney calendars.
- Calculate and track litigation deadlines in accordance with applicable court rules, statutes, and procedural requirements.
- Prepare customized calendar and docket reports as requested.
- Monitor active cases, conduct research on litigants, and coordinate with external vendors to obtain publicly filed court documents.
- File and serve court documents electronically and manually in both state and federal courts.
- Collaborate with members of the Managing Clerk’s Office to maintain accurate and up-to-date litigation dockets and calendaring systems.
- Respond to case teams regarding deadline-related inquiries, including interpreting and analyzing applicable court rules.
- Prepare tailored docket and case status reports as needed.
- Coordinate and, when necessary, perform court services functions, including retrieving court documents, filing, reviewing submissions, and managing process servers.
- Monitor case activity across assigned courts, obtain decisions and orders, track docket updates, and communicate status changes to responsible attorneys.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects within the Managing Clerk’s Office, including docket audits, motion tracking, appeals tracking, and business development reporting.
- Provide general administrative and office support as needed.
- Maintain accurate time entries in iTimeKeep.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Proficiency with legal calendaring systems such as CourtAlert and CompuLaw.
- Familiarity with electronic and manual filing systems in state and federal courts (e.g., PACER, NYSCEF).
- Experience using online legal research and court databases such as Bloomberg Law and CourtLink.
- Strong understanding of federal and state court rules and procedures, including CPLR and FRCP.
- High level of accuracy with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated customer service orientation in a professional services environment.
- Knowledge of docketing, calendaring, and recordkeeping best practices in a law firm setting, particularly as they relate to risk management and loss prevention.
- Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the firm.
- Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
- Prior experience handling calendaring responsibilities in a legal environment.

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
