Outside Sales Associate/Representative – Automotive/Manufacturing
Salary: $50,000–$80,000/year, based on experience

Our client is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to join their Sterling Heights team and manage relationships with established customers in the automotive and manufacturing industries. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with sales experience who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and wants to develop their knowledge of technical parts and components used in manufacturing tools and machinery.
An automotive industry background is preferred, but candidates with strong outside sales experience and an interest in technical products are encouraged to apply.
Outside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain relationships with existing customers
- Serve as the primary sales contact for assigned accounts
- Visit customers regularly to understand their needs and provide solutions
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's parts, components, and manufacturing-related products
- Work closely with the Inside Sales Department and internal teams to support customer needs
- Prepare quotes, follow up on customer requests, and coordinate orders as needed
- Identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts
- Travel throughout Michigan for customer visits
- Travel outside the area approximately once per month for business meetings and customer visits
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information
- Provide excellent customer service and build long-term partnerships
Outside Sales Representative Qualifications:
- 2-3 Years previous outside sales or account management experience
- Automotive, manufacturing, industrial, or technical sales experience preferred
- Experience working with automotive parts, components, machinery, tooling, or manufacturing products is a plus
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand technical products and learn new applications
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Michigan and occasionally outside the state
