Assistant DEPARTMENT Engineering SUPERVISOR Chief Engineer PURPOSE OF
POSITION Provides administrative and project support to Engineering
Department. Continually work towards and support the improvement of
engineering services to both guests and associates. Liaison for Chief
Engineer to associates, vendors, and guests with regards to all aspects
of the engineering operation. This includes maintaining schedules,
Response To E-mails, And Internal And External Inquiries. ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS 1. Answers telephone and responds to caller inquiries.
Exercises decision-making skills to direct callers based on requests.
Accurately records and distributes messages. Communicates with other
hotel associates to relay pertinent information. 2. Plans and executes
various special projects with the guidance of management. 3. Organizes,
Files, Distributes, Faxes, And Other Essential Functions Necessary In
the daily department operation. This includes but is not limited to,
maintaining department checkbook and purchase orders, confirming orders,
receipt of preventive maintenance logs, and distribution of maintenance
requests. 4. Acts as liaison with vendors and guests in Managers
absence. 5. Performs other duties as assigned. MANDITORY JOB
REQUIREMENTS 1. Good communication skills, both written and oral 2. Good
organization skills 3. Fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel,
PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) 4. Ability to input data into a word
processor at a minimum rate of 60 w.p.m. 5. Basic secretarial knowledge
such as business letters, formats, and telephone etiquette 6. High
