Location: Richmond, VA
A leading national law firm is seeking a mid-level Associate with 2-5 years of government investigations experience to join its nationally recognized Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation practice in Richmond.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a deep white collar team representing corporations and individuals in sensitive civil, criminal and congressional investigations, enforcement actions and related litigation at both the federal and state levels. The successful candidate will work directly with partners and clients across the US and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
Salary Range: $235,000 β $365,000 (DOE)
Additional hours-based and merit bonus opportunities are available, with billable credit also provided for qualifying pro bono work.

Key Responsibilities
- Represent corporations and individuals in government investigations
- Work on complex civil and criminal enforcement matters
- Assist with federal and state investigations
- Support congressional investigations and other sensitive matters
- Conduct sophisticated legal research and factual analysis
- Draft briefs, investigative materials and other substantive legal documents
- Develop investigative and litigation strategies alongside senior attorneys
- Work directly with clients, business teams and in-house legal departments
- Collaborate with partners and attorneys across offices and jurisdictions
- Utilize innovative technology and AI tools to support research, drafting and analysis
- 2-5 years of government investigations experience
- Top-tier law firm experience required
- Am Law 20 experience in Washington, DC or New York strongly preferred
- Experience with a Chambers Band 1 white collar practice is highly valued
- Judicial clerkship experience is highly valued
- Excellent academic credentials
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills
- Strong interpersonal and client-facing abilities
- Interest in utilizing innovative legal technology
- Virginia Bar admission required
