Direct Counsel is seeking a Government Investigations & White Collar Litigation Associate Attorney to join a prestigious Am Law firm in Charlotte, NC.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney with 2-5 years of government investigations experience to join a nationally recognized white collar litigation practice. The successful candidate will represent corporate and individual clients in high-stakes civil, criminal, and regulatory investigations and enforcement matters at the federal and state levels.
Responsibilities

Represent clients in government investigations, white collar criminal matters, and regulatory enforcement proceedings.

Assist with internal investigations, government inquiries, and compliance matters.

Draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation and investigative materials.

Conduct witness interviews, factual investigations, and legal research.

Advise clients on enforcement risks, regulatory compliance, and litigation strategy.

Collaborate with attorneys across offices on complex, high-profile matters involving federal and state agencies.

Work directly with clients on sensitive and strategically significant investigations.
Qualifications

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Active membership in a U.S. state bar.

2-5 years of government investigations and white collar litigation experience.

Experience at a top-tier law firm is required.

Judicial clerkship experience is highly preferred.

Experience at an Am Law firm or a nationally recognized white collar practice is strongly preferred.

Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Interest in leveraging legal technology and AI tools to enhance legal research and document drafting.
