Position Title: Loan Servicing Generalist
Department: Loan Servicing
Reports To: Loan Servicing Manager
General Summary/Purpose
This position exists to provide support as needed to multiple functional areas within the Loan Servicing Department. Team Members are proficient in a variety of functions to ensure efficient workflow and to provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. Proficiency in key duties and strong attention to detail are needed to ensure that loans are compliant with regulation and the bank’s loan policy and that security interest in collateral is perfected, thereby protecting the financial security of the bank and its customers. The position requires independent judgement and the ability to assess situations and determine a correct course of action. As the position serves a relief function, actual time allocation to the percentages below will fluctuate based on the skills of the individual and needs of the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
#1 Loan Document Production Percentage of time: 30 %
Prepare loan documents requested by Relationship Support Specialists and Relationship Managers. Ensure final documents are in compliance with regulations, loan policy and guidelines. Maintain knowledge of loan regulations/compliance.
#2 Collateral Document Management Percentage of time: 30%
Collateral lien filings/releases (title liens, mtgs, final titles, UCC’s). Ensure the bank’s liens are perfected to protect the bank’s security interest. Process collateral correspondence in mail and courthouse courier. Scan/Index loan documents. Paid in Full loan processing.
#3 Loan Servicing Support Percentage of time: 30%
Process loan payments and payoffs. Review and audit loan files received from Relationship Managers and Support Specialists for compliance with regulation and the bank’s loan policy and accuracy for data input into the host system. Upload new loan information to NuPoint. Answer loan questions from internal and external clients. Reconcile the general ledger accounts and maintain various monthly reports.
#4 Quality Assurance Percentage of time: 10 %
Ensure imaged loan documents are in compliance and of good quality for viewing.
