Role Description
This is a full time, on-site position for an Infection Control Nurse at The New Jewish Home, located in New York, NY. The Infection Control Nurse will oversee measures to prevent and control infectious diseases, conduct infection surveillance, and educate staff on infection prevention protocols. Additional responsibilities include implementing infection control policies, investigating and addressing infection outbreaks, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Infection Control and Infectious Diseases
- Strong background in Nursing and Medicine
- Knowledge and practical experience with infection prevention and mitigation strategies
- Understanding of public health principles and regulatory compliance related to infection control
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) is preferred
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric healthcare is a plus
