Employment Associate Attorney | Southern Maine / Southern New Hampshire

Hybrid | Full-Time | 2-4 Years Experience | $100-135K DOE

Our client, a long-standing law firm based in New England, is seeking an Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing labor and employment practice! This opportunity offers engaging and sophisticated work advising employers on workplace matters and supporting employment-related litigation.

The ideal candidate will have prior litigation experience and an interest in employment law, including counseling clients on compliance matters, workplace policies, and dispute resolution. This role provides meaningful client interaction, hands-on case involvement, and the opportunity to work collaboratively with a well-established legal team serving a broad range of business clients.

Responsibilities

• Support employment litigation matters and workplace investigations
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
• Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy
• Advise clients on employment-related issues and compliance matters
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas
• Manage deadlines and multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  
  

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active bar admission or pending admission in Maine or New Hampshire
• Prior litigation experience required; employment law experience preferred
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
