What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Maintenance Technician position at The Margate Resort?
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Lead Maintenance professional to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within our guest-focused Resort on beautiful Paugus Bay, right along Lake Winnipesaukee. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and extensive technical knowledge.
This role involves supervising maintenance teams, ensuring equipment reliability, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies to support continuous operations, while helping create a positive experience for both guests and teammates.
***Open availability, including weekends, during our peak summer season is required.
Duties
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
- Conduct inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues before failures occur.
- Coordinate with project management teams for upgrades, installations, or modifications of resort equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
- Monitor inventory levels for spare parts and tools necessary for maintenance operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the maintenance department.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or supervising experience in industrial maintenance or facilities management roles.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage and low voltage applications.
- Experience using CMMS software for work order management and asset tracking.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams effectively.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively in a fast-paced setting.
