Job Overview of Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate:
The Lee Group is seeking reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associates to support daily warehouse operations for one of our valued clients. In this role, you will be responsible for picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling to ensure materials and products move efficiently throughout the facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and supporting production and customer order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate:
- Pick and pull customer orders, work orders, and materials from warehouse locations
- Accurately record inventory transactions using RF scanners or computer systems
- Pack and prepare orders for shipment, including small package and LTL shipments
- Label and verify outgoing shipments for accuracy
- Operate warehouse equipment including order picker, reach truck, and sit-down forklift
- Assist with receiving, stocking, and put-away of incoming materials
- Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
- Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Assist with loading, unloading, and general warehouse duties as needed
Qualifications of Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse or material handling experience required
- Forklift experience required, including order picker, reach truck, and sit-down forklift
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions of Warehouse Shipping & Receiving Associate:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds independently and more with assistance
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8 hours)
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing
- Comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment
- Must be able to work overtime as needed
- Required to wear appropriate PPE including safety shoes, gloves, and eye/ear protection
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed
