Key Responsibilities
- Lead an infant classroom in a safe, nurturing, and organized environment
- Support infants’ developmental milestones through sensory play, language exposure, and guided interaction
- Maintain individualized routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and transitions
- Supervise and support assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and ratios
- Communicate daily with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updates
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment
- Ensure full compliance with Maryland childcare licensing and safety standards
- Maryland Infant/Toddler Teacher qualification required (45-hour certification)
- High school diploma or higher required
- Experience working in an infant classroom preferred
- Understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
- Must meet Maryland childcare licensing and background requirements
