We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Internal Medicine practice in Rutherford, NJ. This role is responsible for supporting providers in delivering high-quality patient care through clinical assistance, documentation, and coordination of care activities.

This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Clinical Support
- Room patients and prepare them for examination, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and medical history
- Perform medication reconciliation and update patient records
- Administer vaccines and assist with routine clinical procedures
- Support providers during patient examinations and treatments
- Documentation & Communication
- Manage provider in-baskets (electronic messaging systems) and respond to communications in a timely manner
- Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Facilitate communication between patients and care teams
- Administrative & Care Coordination
- Initiate and manage prior authorizations as required
- Assist with patient follow-ups, referrals, and scheduling support
- Ensure compliance with clinical workflows and organizational policies
- Patient Experience & Compliance
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Provide courteous, respectful, and professional interactions with patients and staff
- Follow infection control and safety protocols at all times
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Knowledge of clinical procedures and patient care practices
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Prior experience as a CMA in Internal Medicine
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic or similar platforms)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Salary : $20 - $22
