Maintenance/Engineering Manager (1139679)

Location: Harrisonburg, VA

Salary: $160,000.00 USD Annually - $175,000.00 USD Annually

Description

Results-driven maintenance and engineering leader responsible for overseeing plant maintenance, utilities, facilities, and technical services operations in a large manufacturing environment. This role ensures equipment reliability, maximizes uptime, manages maintenance teams and contractors, controls budgets, and drives continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance, utilities, and facilities operations to support safe and efficient production.
• Manage maintenance personnel, contractors, training, performance, and workforce development.
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
• Support capital projects, equipment installations, and process improvements.
• Monitor KPIs, downtime, and maintenance performance to drive operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Manage maintenance budgets and optimize resource utilization.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
• 10 years of maintenance or engineering leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Food processing experience preferred.
• Strong background in preventive maintenance, reliability, project management, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and PLCs is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
