Salary: $125,000.00 USD Annually - $140,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Food Safety & Quality Manager for their Manufacturing Operations in Pittsburgh PA. This company has seen some impressive growth over the past few years. The FSQA Manager wll be resposibile for Implimenting an efficient and robust food safety program including assuring the safety & quality of all products produced, managing the internal auditing program, assessing the performance of the QMS & reporting its effectiveness to the Plant Manager. This is a Monday - Friday positon working days. The FSQA Manager needs to be a "hands on" leader spending sufficient time on the production floor while bringing a strong technical understanding of SQF Regulatory requirements. This Job Will Have The Following Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in consumer and product safety, product quality, regulatory, and technical excellence
• Manage multiple objectives and assuring the safety and quality of all products that leave manufacturing facility while balancing the needs of production
• Manage the internal auditing program, assessing the performance of the quality system
• Enable and maintain a culture of quality awareness and compliance in the plant
• Work with the plant leadership team to ensure all quality programs and systems are implemented
• Maintain robust food safety program (e.g., HACCP, BRC or SQF)
• Ensure compliance/audit readiness review all quality systems and Quality Programs annually
• Track, report, and review the Quality Performance Indicators on a regular basis to drive continuous improvement
• Ensure adherence to good hygienic practice, pest management programs, cleaning procedures, and clear zoning principles in the factory
• Develop and train plant quality and sanitation team
• Ownership of customer/consumer complaint investigation and resolution
• Conduct effective root cause analysis and implement corrective action and prevention action
• Ensure that products are produced to specification to meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Food Safety, Food Science or related field
• Certifications in Food Safety, Food Defense, SQF, HACCP or PCQI are highyl preferred
• 3 years of FSQA Leadership in Food Manufactuing - Sr. Supervisor / Manager level expereicne leading Direct Reports
• Good Technical Undertanding of SQF / BRC Standards | Expreicne leading Food Safety Audits
• Expereince implimenting a QMS
