- Manage and nurture agency relationships, serving as the primary client contact.
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to drive new and renewal business.
- Evaluate, rate, quote, and bind risks to determine acceptability, coverage, and pricing for both new and renewal business.
- Submit underwriting referrals to company brokerage facilities as needed.
- Monitor key performance metrics and implement corrective actions to improve new business hit rates, renewal retention, premium growth, and loss ratios.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Associate Underwriters to foster team growth and success.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial lines underwriting experience (excess & surplus lines experience preferred).
- Proven proficiency in sales and marketing within the insurance industry.
- Insurance license, CPCU, CIC, or comparable designations preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to build and maintain strong client relationships.
