Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Pay: $21 - $25/hour
Hours: Full-time
Location: Scottsdale, AZ 85255 (Local candidates will be prioritized)
Setting: Hybrid schedule following 100% On-site for Training
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with motivation to grow in accounts payable and an interest to work in the construction or homebuilding industry.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process priority invoices and daily payment requests (ACH/check).
- Maintain lien waiver schedules and handle related documentation.
- Code and enter utility invoices, contract work orders, and miscellaneous check requests.
- Generate weekly check runs and route for approvals and mailing.
- Maintain accurate AP files and documentation in line with company SOPs.
- Assist with vendor inquiries, reconciliations, and resolving discrepancies.
- Use intermediate Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) for data entry and tracking.
- Support cross-functional teams and backup other regional divisions as needed.
Qualifications:
- 0-2 years of AP experience, with required lien law knowledge in construction/home building
- Strong communication, organization, and note-taking skills
- Comfortable with heavy data entry and ongoing training (6–12 month learning curve)
- GED or High School diploma required
