Role Summary
This role is a high impact accounting position reporting directly to the CFO, with clear visibility into executive leadership and business operations. The individual will own the close process, maintain financial accuracy, and support system and process improvements. This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeking accelerated growth into a Controller level role within a private equity environment.
You will lead core accounting activities including month end close, financial reporting, and general ledger management, while also supporting ERP optimization and acquisition integration. This role partners cross functionally to enhance processes and deliver timely, accurate financial insights that support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Own month end and year end close process ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Maintain and manage the general ledger in compliance with accounting standards
• Support ERP system optimization and automation initiatives within Business Central
• Assist with integration of newly acquired entities into financial systems and processes
• Partner with leadership to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit process
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and corporate accounting policies
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis as needed
Key Requirements
• 5 years of general accounting experience
• Strong ERP systems experience with a focus on automation and process improvement
• Highly motivated with a strong desire for growth and leadership progression
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred
• Background in private equity backed or high growth environments is a plus
• Exposure to M&A integration or multi entity environments preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with executive leadership
