Senior Accountant - Supply Chain Inventory
Location: North Atlanta - GA
Compensation: $95-105K plus bonus and benefits

Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant focused on Supply Chain Inventory to play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory valuation, product costing, and financial reporting. This position partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and IT to ensure data integrity, optimize inventory processes, and support scalable decision making. The role offers meaningful visibility, strong cross functional exposure, and the opportunity to influence system enhancements and process improvements.
This role will own critical inventory and cost accounting activities during close cycles, support financial reporting, and serve as a subject matter expert for inventory transactions within a large scale ERP environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation across multiple distribution centers and manufacturing locations
• Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close activities related to inventory and costing
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including inventory, accruals, and intercompany balances
• Perform variance analysis on income statement and balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Ensure accurate posting of inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, issues, and returns
• Partner with Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, and IT to drive process and system improvements
• Support audits by providing clear documentation and serving as a key point of contact
Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
• At least 2 years of inventory or cost accounting experience within manufacturing or distribution
• Experience working with large scale ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills including pivots, lookups, and data analysis tools
• Strong understanding of GAAP inventory valuation and cost accounting principles
• Ability to collaborate cross functionally and communicate complex financial information clearly
Preferred Qualifications
• CPA or progress toward CPA
• Hands on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud inventory, costing, or supply chain modules
• Experience with intercompany inventory transactions and eliminations
• Exposure to ERP implementations, UAT, or optimization initiatives
