A well respected, faith-based law firm located in Barrington is seeking an Illinois-Licensed Estate & Trust Attorney.
Position Overview
This full-time position is ideal for a licensed Illinois attorney who is passionate
about estate & trust law and values building meaningful relationships with clients. The
ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively to craft personalized legal strategies that
reflect their commitment to excellence, integrity, and service.
What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on estate planning, asset protection, and trust structures
- Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including trusts, wills, powers of attorney, and related instruments
- Respond to client inquiries with professionalism and care, ensuring each interaction reflects our commitment to exceptional service
- Oversee probate and trust administration matters from initiation through resolution
- Collaborate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to deliver holistic planning solutions
- Stay current on developments in federal and Illinois estate and trust law to ensure accurate, up-to-date guidance
What We’re Looking For
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Illinois
- At least 5 years of experience in estate planning and trust law
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
- A client-focused approach with a commitment to ethical and compassionate legal practice
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with legal practice management software (such as Smokeball) is a plus
Ideal Candidate Will Also Have
- An existing referral network or active client base in estate planning, probate, or trust administration
- A proven history of building strong professional relationships that generate consistent referrals
- A desire to serve current and future clients through the systems and support of a highly rated law firm
- Interest in long-term growth and leadership opportunities within a mission-driven practice
Compensation
$70,000 – $300,000 annually, depending on experience, billing, and whether the candidate
brings an existing team or active client relationships. Attorneys with established referral
sources or a portable book of business may be eligible for higher compensation structures
and flexible integration into our firm.
