Tool Repair Technician
100% On Site in Elgin IL
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tool Repair Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for evaluating, repairing, and supporting our industry-leading spirit levels, lasers, electronic measuring tools, folding rulers, and tape measures.
You will handle product returns and warranty claims, perform diagnostics and repairs, manage service orders, and provide outstanding customer support. This position reports to the Warehouse Manager and works closely with the Service Operations Assistant. The ideal candidate will have Warehouse/ Inventory experience along with a mechanical aptitude.
This is a Temp to Hire, Full Time position Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm.
Pay starts around $21 DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and evaluate returned products for warranty or repair.
- Conduct product assessments and follow up with customers in line with service policies.
- Perform repairs on electronic and mechanical leveling tools.
- Maintain inventory of repair parts and service tools.
- Assist customers and sales reps with troubleshooting, warranty, and product inquiries.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to conduct incoming inspections when needed.
Education & Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of repair/troubleshooting experience.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Computer proficiency; ERP experience is a plus.
- Experience in inventory management is a plus.
