We are seeking a skilled Trust and Estate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and services in the areas of estate planning, trust administration, and related tax matters, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role involves working closely with clients to understand their needs and develop personalized estate plans that protect their interests and their families' futures.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and review wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents
- Provide legal advice on estate planning strategies and trust administration
- Assist clients with the preparation of tax returns related to estates and trusts
- Manage disputes related to trusts and estates, including litigation when necessary
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their estate planning needs and objectives
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect estate planning
- Assist clients in the execution of power of attorney documents and other legal instruments
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Minimum 3 years of experience in trust and estate law
- Strong understanding of estate planning, trust administration, and tax laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client relations
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex estate disputes
- Proficiency in legal research and writing
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Competitive Base Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 (DOE)
