CNC Machinist / Setup Operator – 1st Shift
Crystal Lake, IL
$24–$30/hr (DOE)
We’re hiring a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and run CNC equipment producing precision parts to spec. Great opportunity for a hands-on professional who takes pride in quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines
- Read blueprints and technical drawings
- Create/adjust CAM programs
- Set offsets, tooling, and machine parameters
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment
- Operate manual machines (lathe, mill, grinder) as needed
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Blueprint reading and strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with CNC setup and operation
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
Preferred:
- CNC/Machining certification or 2-year degree
- CAD/CAM experience (Fusion 360 a plus)
Work Environment
- Manufacturing setting (heat/cold, dust, industrial materials)
- Standing, lifting up to 50 lbs., repetitive motion
- Overtime as needed
