Are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in accounts payable and accounts receivable? We’re seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable accounting professional who enjoys working with numbers, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

In this role, you’ll handle vendor invoices, expense reports, customer billing, and general ledger reviews while working both independently and collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process and verify vendor invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Enter purchase order (PO) invoices into the PO Tracker workbook.
• Obtain appropriate approvals for non-PO invoices.
• Assist with vendor statement reconciliations and request missing invoices as needed.
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy, supporting receipts, and required approvals.
• Ensure accurate general ledger (GL) coding.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Gather supporting documentation and detailed receipts for billable employee expenses.
• Review general ledger accounts to ensure all billable items are captured.
• Prepare and process customer invoices for supplies, small equipment, equipment repairs, and equipment sales for applicable customers.

Qualifications

• Must have recent experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data entry skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong mathematical and calculation skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks.
