Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Buffalo Grove, IL. As a Receiving Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our inventory is accurately tracked and managed. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for organization, we want to hear from you! You will also be cross trained in the Shipping Department.
Responsibilities- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Document and record all received items in the inventory management system.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Assist in inventory counts and audits as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven experience in a receiving or warehouse role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift heavy items and operate warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management software.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
