Director of Human Resources
Our client is seeking a dedicated and strategic Director of Human Resources to join their team. Compensation: $125,000 to $125,000
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives to enhance overall business performance.
- Manage all HR operations, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance initiatives.
- Oversee benefits administration activities such as COBRA, workers’ compensation, STD/LTD, life insurance, health and dental plans, FSA, HRA, FMLA, and 401(k).
- Stay current with federal and state employment laws, ensuring ongoing compliance and managing audits or regulatory reporting.
- Lead succession planning efforts and implement workforce development programs to build leadership capacity and talent pipelines.
- Regularly assess and update policies, procedures, and the Employee Handbook for consistency and compliance.
- Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture through engagement programs, training, and leadership coaching.
- Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organizational design, employee relations, and risk management.
- Utilize HRIS systems and analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
- Supervise and mentor HR team members, fostering a high-performance environment.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to inform ongoing improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) highly desired.
- 7–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 3 years in a director or senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in payroll management within HR functions.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams at all levels.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building trust across the organization.
- Experience with HRIS systems, data analysis, and leveraging HR analytics for strategic insights.
- Ability to navigate organizational change and guide teams through transitions.
- Flexibility with work hours, with occasional travel and evening/weekend demands.
Other Requirements:
- This is a full-time role based primarily in-office, with one day per week remote in a hybrid setup.
- Ability to occasionally travel for work-related purposes.
- Provided equipment to support remote work on designated days.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
