We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial activities of a multi-entity organization. This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership role in a collaborative, family-style, team-oriented office environment.
The role is responsible for managing the full accounting cycle, supervising accounting staff, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The Accounting Supervisor will also oversee bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP, support cash management activities, and work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and financial statements across multiple entities using QuickBooks
- Lead monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies
- Prepare and review internal financial reports for management decision-making
- Support cash management activities, including processing wires and ACH payments under direction of management
- Partner with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate financial data collection and reporting
Payroll and Benefits Administration
- Oversee end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now
- Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to compensation and employee data
- Assist with administration of employee benefits, including health insurance deductions
- Coordinate insurance updates, renewals, and related policy requirements
Accounting Operations and Team Leadership
- Supervise, train, and support accounting staff
- Serve as a liaison between accounting and other departments
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting processes
- Coordinate with external auditors and tax preparers and support audit activities as needed
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines across various entities in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or small business environment
- Prior supervisory or management experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and ADP Workforce Now required
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
Salary : $75,000 - $105,000
