The Hiring Advisors is partnering with an Investment Management Company to hire a Staff Accountant. This is a hands-on role where you’ll touch everything from core accounting to real estate operations—ideal for someone coming from public accounting, private equity, or family office environments.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain books across multiple entities; handle AP, reconciliations, and cash tracking
- Assist with month-end close and prepare recurring financial reports
- Coordinate with external CPAs on tax filings, estimates, and entity structures
- Work closely with advisors (tax, banking, insurance) to keep everything running smoothly
- Support oversight of a real estate portfolio—vendors, leases, budgets, and projects
- Help improve processes and streamline workflows in a lean, fast-moving setup
- Jump into ad hoc projects while maintaining strict confidentiality
Requirements:
- 2 years of accounting experience (public accounting, PE, or family office preferred)
- Strong grasp of GAAP and financial reporting fundamentals
- CPA (or in progress) is a plus
- Comfortable working in small, high-trust environments with shifting priorities
- Experience with QuickBooks (or similar) strong Excel skills
- Detail-oriented, discreet, and proactive
