We’re looking for a VP Sales – North America in the building products industry based in Irvine, California.

Our client is a high growth building products manufacturer serving architectural, specification driven, builder and commercial markets across the U.S. and Canada. This is a change agent role, suited to a hands on sales leader who thrives in transformation environments and is motivated by building structure, accountability and momentum. The VP Sales – North America will be responsible for leading sales execution, driving business development discipline and delivering profitable growth across all channels.

VP Sales – North America responsibilities:
  • Lead the North American sales function across the U.S. and Canada
  • Act as a change agent, driving accountability, execution and performance across sales teams
  • Drive sales growth, margin performance and budget accountability
  • Lead and develop senior sales leaders across specification, builder, commercial and channel sales
  • Drive early stage specification inclusion with architects and designers
  • Strengthen distributor, rep and channel performance
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain to align execution
The successful candidate has:
  • Senior B2B sales leadership experience within building products or specification driven industries
  • Experience selling through architects, designers, builders and commercial channels
  • A strong business development mindset with hands on execution capability
  • Proven ability to lead leaders and hold teams accountable
  • Experience managing long cycle, project based sales environments
  • Experience scaling growth within challenger or innovation led brands is highly valued
  • This role is not suited to candidates from FMCG or purely account management backgrounds
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed base salary range is $200,000 – $220,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates
  • Performance based incentive tied to growth
  • Comprehensive benefits package
