Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for an Assistant General Manager located in Washington DC. The Assistant General Manager will support the general operations of the restaurant to ensure an exceptional guest experience. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, supervising staff, training team members, ensuring adherence to health and safety standards, implementing company policies, tracking inventory, and assisting with financial and performance goals. The Assistant General Manager will collaborate with other managers to maintain high service standards, resolve guest issues, and drive team productivity and accountability.
Qualifications
- Strong operational management skills, including knowledge of restaurant operations, staff management, and inventory control
- Customer service expertise, with the ability to handle guest relations and ensure satisfaction
- Leadership and team-building skills with emphasis on training, mentoring, and motivating staff
- Proficiency in financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and achieving performance targets
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Experience working in restaurants, hospitality, or related industries is essential
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and compliance with health regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred but not required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation
$80-$85k/yr Bonus
