Position: Lifeguard
Department: Pool
Primary Responsibilities: _(guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)
_ * Ensure guests’ safety and protect lives
- Enforce rules and regulations
- Recognize and respond effectively when situations arise
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Check, record and regulate chlorine/ph and water temperature
- Clean drains around pool
- Clean and fill baby pool
- Check safety equipment to assure it is readily available at all times
- Skim pool as necessary
- Fill out reports when necessary
Normal Working Hours: _(Shift, days)
_ * Flexible shifts including some evenings
- 9am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 10am-6pm, 6pm-11pm
_In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate must meet the following criteria
in addition to the 5 Star Mobil Service Standards_
Past Work Experience Requirements: _(Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)
_ * Life guarding experience preferred
- Customer service experience preferred
Educational Requirements: _(Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)
_ * High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Some college preferred
Communication Skills Requirements: _(Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)
_ * Excellent grammar and verbal skills
- Must be able to be assertive
Technical Requirements:
- Current Red Cross Life guarding Certificate or equivalent
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
Required Supervision: _(Reports to, Supervision provided, number of people to supervise)
_ * Supervision provided. Reports to Pool Manager
- Must possess the maturity to respond to situations as they arrive
Other Requirements:
- Must be friendly, outgoing, self assured and have a positive attitude
