We are currently seeking a Technical Writer for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Indianapolis, IN. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Description:
- Pay: $42/hr (W2)
- 6-month assignment with possibility of extension based on business need and performance
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote
- You will be supporting the Document Operations & Partnering team by creating, maintaining, and improving Quality Management System (QMS) documentation
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate complex scientific, regulatory, and operational content into clear, concise, user-friendly documents
- Lead implementation of a new technical writing initiative focused on improving document quality, consistency, and accessibility
- Utilize AI tools to improve documentation processes, including content outlining, proofreading, prompt development, and content optimization
- Create and maintain document templates, master documents, and writing standards
- Define and implement best practices for technical writing across quality controlled documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 years of professional technical writing experience
- Strong experience authoring technical documents from scratch, not solely editing or formatting existing content
- Experience writing quality-controlled, regulated, compliance, SOP, QMS, GMP, or similar documentation preferred
- Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Drive, Sheets) required
- Experience creating and maintaining document templates preferred
- Experience leveraging AI tools as a collaborative writing partner highly desired
- Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or medical device industry experience preferred but not required
