Job Description
Seeking a Scientist II to join the Biologics CMC Developability team supporting discovery-stage biologic drug candidates. This role focuses on LC-MS and chromatography-based characterization of therapeutic proteins to evaluate developability, identify critical quality attributes, and support biologics drug development.
- Perform LC-MS characterization of therapeutic biologics and post-translational modifications (PTMs)
- Conduct protein characterization using size exclusion (SEC), ion exchange (IEX), and reverse-phase liquid chromatography
- Perform protein mass spectrometry including subunit analysis, peptide mapping, and disulfide mapping
- Execute experimental protocols, analyze data, and interpret characterization results
- Maintain accurate documentation using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELN)
- Prepare and present scientific summaries of experimental findings
- Support maintenance and qualification of analytical laboratory equipment
- Contribute to characterization of critical CMC attributes for biologic drug candidates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting biologics development
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, documentation, and quality standards
- BS or MS in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline with relevant biopharmaceutical industry experience; OR
- PhD in a related field with applicable industry or research experience
