Jennie Joiner with the Forum Group PNW is partnering with a well-established, multi-entity organization seeking a Lead Accounting Coordinator to support and oversee key accounting functions across Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands-on accounting position with leadership responsibilities, while working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial data, supporting cash flow management, and helping drive efficiency across accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable & Cash Management
- Manage invoicing processes and ensure timely and accurate billing to customers
- Monitor AR aging and support collections efforts, including customer follow-up
- Apply customer payments, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate records
- Generate weekly AR status reports and identify potential risks or delays in collections
- Support cash application, banking activities, and cash forecasting
Accounts Payable Oversight
- Provide oversight and guidance to AP team members on daily workflow and priorities
- Review AP processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Assist with invoice processing, discrepancy resolution, and vendor communication
- Support weekly payment runs and cash requirements planning
Month-End & Reporting
- Support month-end close activities related to AR/AP
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation
- Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports, including cash forecasts
- Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with internal controls
Process Improvement & Leadership
- Monitor workflow, productivity, and reporting for accounting functions
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, and system usage
- Provide day-to-day guidance and support to accounting staff
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, and leadership teams
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with inventory-related accounting activities, including cycle counts
- Support standard costing and financial data accuracy
- Maintain customer and vendor records, including credit applications and payment portals
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in accounting (AR/AP, general accounting, or similar)
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash flow processes
- Experience working in an ERP system (manufacturing or similar environment preferred)
- Intermediate Excel skills (reporting, reconciliations, data tracking)
- Prior experience providing oversight, mentoring, or team support is a plus
- Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
