Role Overview
As the Content & Communications Manager, you will serve as the strategic lead for our editorial and thought leadership engine. This high-impact senior role sits at the intersection of investment storytelling, financial marketing, and multi-channel distribution. You will translate sophisticated portfolio strategies and market insights into compelling content that drives brand authority, accelerates sales, and deepens engagement across advisor, institutional, and retail channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Content Ownership: Define and execute the firm’s overarching annual content strategy, aligning editorial themes with market trends, fund launches, and distribution priorities.
- Editorial & Thought Leadership Lead: Manage end-to-end production of externally facing materials—including market commentary, advisor enablement tools, investor education, and sales collateral—ensuring brand consistency and regulatory precision.
- Investment Storytelling: Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, analysts, and product teams to translate complex asset strategies into high-impact digital collateral and messaging frameworks.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Fund Marketing, Digital, Design, Legal, and Compliance (FINRA/SEC) to deliver SEO-optimized, fully compliant content campaigns.
- Performance & Operations: Establish content KPIs (engagement, pipeline influence, share of voice), manage agency/freelance relationships, and oversee content tech workflows (CMS, DAM, analytics).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 8 years in content, communications, or editorial roles, including at least 3 years in asset management or financial services within a regulated environment.
- Financial Expertise: Proven ability to translate sophisticated asset management concepts into clear, engaging content tailored for financial advisors, institutional clients, and retail investors.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Firm grasp of FINRA and SEC compliance protocols for marketing and thought leadership content.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Content Management Systems (CMS), digital marketing platforms, marketing analytics, and AI content optimization tools.
- Preferred Experience: Background with multi-boutique, SMA, ETF, or alternative investment platforms, familiarity with sales enablement tools (Seismic, Salesforce, HubSpot), and experience supporting distribution across wirehouses, RIAs, or independent broker-dealers.
