The Role
This AP Specialist will play a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations while helping maintain structure and accuracy in a fast-paced, real-time close environment. You’ll work closely with leadership and junior team members, taking ownership of core accounting processes while serving as a steady, reliable presence on the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and support payroll activities
- Assist with month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations
- Support sales tax compliance and filings
- Prepare working papers and collaborate with external auditors
- Maintain accurate cash-basis accounting records
- Help mentor and support junior accounting staff
- Operate effectively in a fast-moving environment where books are maintained daily
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5–7 years of accounting experience
- Background or training in technical accounting
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable mentoring team members with varying levels of accounting experience
- Level-headed, adaptable, collaborative, and detail-oriented
Compensation
- $60,000–$70,000 base salary, depending on experience
