Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Sourcing and Procurement professional to support manufacturing operations through sourcing strategy development, supplier management, and cost optimization initiatives. This role works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure cost-effective, compliant, and reliable procurement of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing and Procurement
Develop and execute sourcing strategies in partnership with internal teams
Lead end-to-end sourcing events including RFQs and RFPs, supplier evaluation, and selection
Design and implement category management strategies using data-driven insights
Create sourcing documentation and ensure compliance with technical and commercial requirements
Execute negotiation strategies to achieve optimal pricing, terms, and supplier performance
Supplier and Contract Management
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships
Lead supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage supplier onboarding, qualification, and development processes
Prepare and manage contracts including renewals and compliance requirements
Ensure fair and transparent supplier selection processes
Cost Optimization and Reporting
Track, validate, and report cost savings initiatives
Ensure cost effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery of products and services
Prepare financial, analytical, and performance reports
Cross-Functional and Project Support
Support business units and plant locations with procurement activities
Lead sourcing efforts for capital projects and major repairs
Collaborate across multi-site and global teams
Process Improvement and Risk Management
Benchmark procurement processes and implement best practices
Identify and mitigate supply chain and contract-related risks
Develop and support procurement compliance and governance strategies
Additional Responsibilities
Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement within a manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of manufacturing products and components
Experience with contract negotiation and supplier relationship management
Preferred
Experience supporting capital projects or industrial maintenance procurement
Experience working in a multi-site environment
Experience in a global or matrixed organization
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
