Key Responsibilities
Guest Service & Order Taking
- Answer incoming room service calls promptly and professionally
- Provide menu knowledge, upsell additional items, and offer recommendations
- Confirm and enter orders accurately into the POS system
- Communicate special requests or dietary needs to kitchen and service teams
- Process guest payments, room charges, and adjustments accurately
- Ensure proper posting of charges to guest accounts following hotel procedures
- Maintain accurate cash or credit transaction records as required
- Liaise with kitchen staff, servers, and runners to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Track and follow up on delayed orders or guest requests
- Maintain communication with other departments when necessary (e.g., Front Desk, Housekeeping)
- Update and maintain room service logs, orders, and checklists
- Assist in preparing printed materials such as menus and promotional inserts
- Support with to-go packaging, tray setup, and inventory of supplies when needed
- Uphold hotel guest service standards and brand hospitality guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including phones, POS, and order station
- Follow food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures at all times
- Previous experience in hospitality, customer service, or F&B preferred
- Strong communication and telephone etiquette skills
- Basic math skills and experience handling cash or POS systems
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay calm under pressure
- Professional, friendly, and service-oriented demeanor
- Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during shifts
- May require occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
