How You Will Make An Impact
- Analyze and interpret detailed project drawings, specifications, and bid requests to define project scope.
- Execute precise sheet metal and duct system take-offs to ensure material accuracy.
- Coordinate with vendors to request and compare equipment quotes against project schedules.
- Formulate comprehensive customer proposals that align with HVAC design principles and fabrication standards.
- Monitor and follow up on submitted bids to maintain a consistent project pipeline.
- Cultivate professional relationships with new and existing vendors to optimize procurement.
- Document all estimates within Bluebeam and Excel to maintain strict organizational standards.
- Proven ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team and vendor coordination.
- Mechanical background or fundamental understanding of HVAC systems.
- Associates Degree in a related field.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical or HVAC estimating.
- Experience with CAD software for drafting or design review.
- Demonstrated experience in residential or multi-family project bidding.
