How You Will Make An Impact
- Establish and improve robust estimating processes and systems to support company scaling.
- Manage the bid pipeline by tracking all opportunities and making strategic bid/no-bid decisions.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates for foundations, slabs, and tilt-up.
- Solicit and level subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure comprehensive and competitive bid coverage.
- Develop professional proposals that clearly define scope, inclusions, and critical assumptions.
- Facilitate seamless project handoffs to the operations team with a clear understanding of scope.
- Protect project margins by identifying scope gaps and managing risks during the preconstruction phase.
- Proven experience in estimating specifically within concrete, shell, or structural scopes.
- Strong technical understanding of foundations, slabs, rebar, formwork, and tilt-up construction.
- Expertise in performing detailed takeoffs and building complex pricing models from scratch.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an onsite, office-based environment in Fort Lauderdale.
- Excellent professional communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset.
- 5 years of related work experience in the concrete and masonry industry.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Advanced ability to think like a builder, focusing on means and methods to identify logistical obstacles.
- Experience in managing medium/large-scale industrial project bids.
- Bi-weekly pay cycle with performance-based project completion bonuses.
